"I hope all my fans who practice the tradition of Christmas have a happy and healthy one. May the spirit of giving and compassion flow through you and all of your wishes come true!" - Dee Snider 2013
Time Out Cabaret editor Adam Feldman looks back on the top ten shows of 2013
It was a year of change in the cabaret world. Two of New York's most prestigious venues, the Oak Room and Feinstein's, closed for good in 2012, leaving other nightclubs to fill the vacuum. The offerings were, as always, highly varied: from old-school Great American Songbook collections to bawdy rock & roll comedy, from octogenarian masters to whippersnappers with attitude. As the dust settles, two venues have emerged as the pounding hearts of the cabaret scene: midtown's 54 Below, which leans toward high-grade theater talent, and Joe's Pub at the Public Theater, which emphasizes downtown invention. Here are my choices for the top ten cabaret shows of 2013. View the article.

Alice Cooper, Dee Snider (TWISTED SISTER), Vince Neil (MÖTLEY CRÜE), Rob Zombie and all four members of KISS are among the musicians who performed on December 5 at a concert and live auction to raise money for the Brennan Rock & Roll Academy at The Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. They played with '80s and '90s cover band HAIRBALL to help the future of rock 'n' roll; the children.

But, if you ask him, he didn't quite pull off the sexy lifeguard look. "It was supposed to be a tribute to Pamela Anderson," he said on an episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show airing Wednesday, Nov. 13. "I look more like Dee Snider with fake boobs!"
